Vinay is an Indian raider who has played his entire Pro Kabaddi League career with the Haryana Steelers, from Season 7 to Season 12. Born on 5 July 1999 and standing 5 ft 10 in, he has become a regular source of raid points for the Steelers. Fans know him for timely raids and Super Raids in important matches.
PKL career
Official PKL figures show Vinay has played 118 matches across six seasons, scoring 679 points. Of those, 670 came from raids and 9 from tackles. He has 21 Super 10s to his name.
He made an early impact in Season 7, with 129 points from 23 matches and 3 Super 10s. Seasons 8 and 9 were quieter, bringing 52 points and 33 points respectively from 15 matches each. He then returned strongly, scoring 165 points in Season 10 and 166 in Season 11, with 6 Super 10s in each of those campaigns.
One of his standout Season 10 nights came against the Tamil Thalaivas in Jaipur, where he scored 10 raid points in a 36-31 win. His double-point raid helped set up an ALL OUT that gave the Steelers a 17-8 lead, and early in the second half he took out Amirhossein Bastami and Vishal Chahal.
Season 12
In Season 12 (2025), Vinay scored 134 points in 18 matches, all of them from raids, with 6 Super 10s and a raid strike rate of 48%.
His most important contribution came against the Gujarat Giants at the Thyagaraj Stadium in Delhi, a 50-32 win that confirmed the defending champions’ place in the playoffs. Vinay opened the scoring and later put the result beyond doubt with a four-point Super Raid that gave the Steelers a 39-26 lead. He finished the night with a Super 10.
Style of play
Vinay is very much a specialist raider, with almost all of his career points coming from raids. Match reports show a knack for decisive multi-point raids. In a 34-30 win over Puneri Paltan at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, he produced a Super Raid that pushed the Steelers’ lead to 10 points and went on to complete a Super 10. When Paltan fought back to 26-27, it was another Vinay raid worth two points that steadied the Steelers before they closed out the win.
