Nitin Panwar

Nitin Panwar is an Indian all-rounder in the Pro Kabaddi League who has played five seasons in the competition, across three teams. Born on 15 January 2001, he lined up for Gujarat Giants in Season 12 (2025), which was his most productive season by points. His scoring there came almost entirely from defence.

PKL career

Panwar’s PKL story began with UP Yoddhas, where he spent three seasons. He played one match in Season 8 without scoring, then featured in five matches in Season 9, collecting 4 points (2 raid, 2 tackle). Season 10 brought a bigger role, with 10 matches and 15 points, 13 of them from tackles and 2 from raids.

He moved to Dabang Delhi K.C. for Season 11. There he again played 10 matches and scored 14 points, all of them tackle points.

Across his PKL career he has played 44 matches and scored 65 points, made up of 60 tackle points and 5 raid points, with 2 High 5s.

Season 12

With Gujarat Giants in Season 12, Panwar played 18 matches, the most he has managed in a single season. He scored 32 points, 31 from tackles and 1 from a raid. He also recorded 2 High 5s, which are the only ones of his PKL career to date. His tackle strike rate for the season was 36%, while his raid strike rate was 7%.

Style of play

Although he is listed as an all-rounder, the official figures show that Panwar’s contribution comes mainly in defence. Tackle points make up the large majority of his career total, and his Season 12 numbers with Gujarat Giants underline that defensive role.
